Cuvée Jacques (Fiefs Vendéens)
Domaine Saint Nicolas provides highly quality wines which are the pure incarnation of a unique land and benefit from an exceptional microclimate. Michon's family conducts the whole vineyard according to the principles of Biodynamics, thus respecting the balanced and privileged environment. Since 1960, starting with Patrice Michon, 3 generations have been reviving the wines of Brem and making them famous. In 1995, Thierry Michon introduced biodynamic methods to the whole vineyard. He’s now working with his two sons, Antoine and Mickael.
Domaine Saint Nicolas works toward protecting a unique terroir that is granted with an exceptional microclimate. In 2011 with the creation of the AOC, the domain entered the “Fiefs vendéens” appellation. The 40 hectares of land surrounded by the ocean, forests and salt marshes are made of Clay, Schist & Quartz. The entity is enhanced by biodynamic methods and polyculture. The vineyard creates high quality wines that are chosen by the greatest restaurants in France and abroad.
PINOT NOIR 90%
It was aged in barriques for 18 months prior to bottling. SOIL Cuvée Jacques is a cuvée of Pinot Noir from pure schist soils.
A garnet red color. Delicate forest fruits, fresh cherry and roasted aromas. A very refined palate revealing silky tannins. Cuvée Jacques is a silky, dark and spicy wine with hints of herbs and leather that is perfectly suited to meat and game.
