DOMAINE CHANTAL LESCURE
Bourgogne Les Taupes Maison Dieu (Bourgogne)
Domaine Chantal Lescure is a family owned and run winery founded by Chantal Lescure and Xavier Machard de Gramont in 1975 and now belongs to their two sons, Aymeric and Thibault Machard de Gramont. The 18 hectares of appellation vines extend from Chambolle-Musigny in the Côte de Nuits to Meursault in the Côte de Beaune.
When Aymeric Machard de Gramont took over the management from his parents in 1996 he had new ideas for working the vines and hired winemaker François Chavériat. The following year, they began to transition towards organic viticulture. Today, the whole domaine is certified organic. The wines of Domaine Chantal Lescure are expressive, with powerful yet delicate tannins. They require several years of aging to reveal their numerous qualities.
PINOT NOIR 100%
Gravity vatting, native yeasts, maceration and soft fermentation. Aging in stainless steel tanks for 12 to 14 months. 20% to 30% of the cuvée is raised 6 to 8 months on lees, in barrel, of one or two wines. After assembly, the wine is bottled in a favorable moon, without filtration.
Clay limestone soils.
Pretty bright red color. We can clearly distinguish the pinot and the fruit, which makes you want to crunch the wine. The mouth has body and mind, elegant and discreet tannins faded behind the fruit.
The fruit accompanies you into a long finish. A gourmand and fruity wine with a beautiful personality.
